The Inventors of the Lucia Meditative Light
Psychologist, Dr. Winkler and Neurologist, Dr. Dirk Proekl
At the age of seven, Engelbert Winkler had a transformative near death experience (NDE). This led him to extensive research on the NDE phenomena and began analyzing the principals of shamanic, meditative, and esoteric traditions and their use of light.
Inspired by his research, the now Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Winkler, teamed up with Neurologist, Dr. Dirk Proekl, to create the Lucia Hypnagogic Light technology to assist in awakening the consciousness of humanity. Together, they developed the Lucia Hypnagogic Light from NDE research and the realization of health and psychological benefits often associated with such experiences.
Lucia Light Meditation and the Brain
What is it about meditation and light and the brain that is so empowering for fighting feelings of anxiety, depression, stress, and assists us with sleep? The key here is a tiny gland which is part of our endocrine system. Our endocrine system is a collection of glands that produce hormones that regulate metabolism, growth, and development, tissue function, sexual function, reproduction, sleep, and mood, among other things.
The tiny little gland I am speaking of is a small pine-coned shaped gland at the center of our brain. Why is this little gland and its response to light so important? The main reason is that the brain changes its electrical and biochemical activity when interacting with light - very similar to how we feel on a cloudy day compared to the energetic and happy feeling on a sunny day! Why is this? The pineal gland detects white light through the retina of our eyes (closed or open). The quality and quantity of light that is received by the pineal gland is significantly responsible for the feeling of happiness, the releasing of harmonizing hormones, and is responsible for regulating the sleep patterns.
The pineal gland is our primary endocrine organ and melatonin is the main hormone produced in the pineal gland. Melatonin is a serotonin-derived hormone responsible for regulating the body’s biorhythms, including, for example, our sleep-wake cycles. It also works in harmony with the hypothalamus gland, which directs the body’s hunger and thirst, sexual desire, and aging process.
Many wisdom traditions believe that when the pineal gland is performing at its ultimate capacity, it releases important biochemicals such as dimethyltryptamine (DMT), other wise known as “the spirit molecule,” which is a prime catalyst for higher states of consciousness, intuition, and the experience of universal consciousness. A properly functioning pineal gland is synonymous with good health and well-being, while calcification and deterioration of the pineal gland could be hazardous to our health.
As we age, our pineal gland begins to calcify through the foods we eat, fluoride, and other chemicals in our environment.
How Can Lucia No3 Light Sessions Assist in Decalcifying the Pineal Gland?
As the pineal gland is a light receptor. A Lucia Light Meditation initiates electrical activities in the brain by integrating light patterns at different levels and intensity which leads to a reorientation in the functional network of neurons in the brain. This activates and intensifies the activity the pineal gland through the retina of your eyes which assists in rejuvenation and decalcification of the pineal gland causing an increase the production of melatonin.

Quote: "... Dr. Engelbert Winkler´s observation that NDEs can improve health and even generate spontaneous recovery, .... as patients have reported not only that their healing was effectively improving but also a notion of timelessness, a feeling of being dissolved in the light, contacts with the dead, out-of-body experiences, and mystical experiences...."
